Writing is a collaborative process (just ask any published writer). At Punctuation Made Simple, we believe that professional editorial services should
not be reserved only for published authors. No longer is editing a luxury; in todays competitive market it is a necessity. Because of constricting
editorial budgets and increasing submissions, publishers demand clean, well edited prose before they'll even give the story much consideration. As
frustrating as it may be, the truth is that your wonderful story may never receive more than a cursory glance from an associate reader who
dismisses it upon finding a few grammatical or punctuation errors. That's where we come in. Every writer, even those topping the bestsellers lists,
have weaknesses. Do you fully understand three act structure and how it applies to your manuscript? Do you know how to determine your
premise? Do you know the difference between scene and sequel? Do you know an adverbial phrase from an adjectival phrase? Whether you
answered "no" to one or all of these questions, we can help.
Here at Punctuation Made Simple, we specialize in all facets of manuscript development.

But we work a little differently than other editors. We tailor our services to your needs.
Every working relationship begins with a single chapter. We don't want, nor will we accept, any money until we determine what your needs are and
how we can best meet them. Once we've read your work, we'll call to discuss which of our services would best improve your manuscript. I must
caution, we do not believe in "rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic." If the work is fundamentally flawed, we will not line edit or proofread it;
instead, we will recommend a critique to guide you toward fixing the fundamental flaws first. But, if the story is sound, we will likely offer either a
proofread (if that's all it needs) or line editing (if necessary). We are enthusiasts, and as such are interested in working with writers who are striving
to improve their craft. Our editing services are geared toward teaching as well as correcting. We hope to build long-term working relationships with
our clients.
